Stars of a Hollow Earth

Return to Boltstrike
Queue the music

The party heads back to Boltstrike Pillar and from a distance, they see an abundance of lightning and fire. When they arrive at the pillar, they realize that the top levels are missing and much of the surrounding are is on fire or already burnt. Some of the stone has been melted.

Upon entering the pillar, the party encounters three Lizardmen and defeat them easily. Then, the party reaches the upper level where they find a cloaked humanoid sacrificing one of the last survivors by spilling her blood into a cauldron. Dr Da Durr throws caution to the wind and looses an arrow at the figure, which strikes in the back, piercing through to the front. The cloaked figure turns out to be Gary. The party learns that he betrayed everyone at Boltstrike. Then Gary died. Kinda, while KeKe found out he is a bitch. A large ethereal dragon-thing rose from Garys corpse and engaged that party. After an intense battle, as the create was fleeing, a well-thrown knife from Twinkletoes killed the dragon phantom.

As the party takes a moment to recover after the battle, lightning erupts from one side of the tower, followed by a deep roar.

What could be waiting the party outside of Boltstrike?

Destroying Greenstand
Boom-shakalaka, It is now time to diddle

The party arrives back at Boltstrike Pillar after defeating a Gobin nest.

Once the party arrived back a t Boltstrike pillar, they await an audience with Torrent. She tells the party that divinators have found more goblins, and that they were somehow masked from the guards. She tells the party that a new horde of Goblins have been found in Greenstead.

After giving the party provisions, Torrent asks them to travel to Greenstead and destroy the goblin raiding party with the traps that the mages of Boltstrike have set for times such as these.

  • each PC gets 1 healing potion, (1 is champion-tier)
  • a magic armor ( Sheldor)
  • a magic weapon ( Lichinmi)

On approaching Greenstand, the party sees flashes of light and hears explosions. They attempt to ascertain the situation by climbing a hill and looking into the ruins of Greenstead. They can see fires flickering, but most of the output is hidden from view.

The party follows the map given by Torrent, and they arrive at a culvert. After walking through the culvert, they party emerges into the center of Greenstead to the aftermath of a massacre. After some investigation, the party decides to return to Boltstrike Pillar and warn the guards.

Arrival at Boltstrike
Shutup, Gary You'z a bitch

After a night’s rest, the party continues down the road to Boltstrike Pillar, ignoring a set of Goblins footprints leading out of the forrest.

After a half day walk, the party can see Boltstrike Pillar over the next hill and they huddle to decide further course of action. They decide to climb the cliff behind Boltstrike Pillar to get a better vantage point. Then they proceed to near the front entrance.

Two gargoyles are at the front entrance, and Dr Da Durr decides to loose a flurry of arrows at the stone hunks. One happens to deflect off the stone and fly into the Pillar. They hear a soft “Ouch!” from inside.

Upon entering the Pillar, they find a small wounded human, Gary. The party carries Gary into the Pillar and onto a couch near the medic. After tending to his wounds, the medic dismisses them.

Soon, Sun appears and greets the party as expected travelers. He confirms that the trade of the unknown wand for Glazentorg is still expected, however, Glazentorg would need a few more hours to finish preparations. Sun asks the party to finish off the Goblins that they encountered on the way in for 50 gold each.

The party finishes the goblins off and returns to Boltstrike Pillar for an audience with Torrent.

Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.

That’s it! The rest is up to your and your players.
